The boy who lost his face is about David and his troubles with friends at school.  It is funny sometimes because lots of things go wrong in his life and he thinks it is because an old lady put a curse on him. He helped some friends steal something from an old lady in the beginning of the book. He and some other friends try to do things to get rid of the curse.

The boy who lost his face is a funny and exciting book.  When you start reading this book you cant stop, you always want to keep reading and you are always wondering what is going to happen next. Sometimes it gets confusing, especially the end.  Its amazing what happens to David during the story.  He goes through many weird and exciting things.  I would be so embarrassed by all these things happening to me.  But I am not like anyone in the story.  It is different to any other story Ive read before.

The morel of the story is that if you do some bad things to someone who doesnt deserve it, bad things tend to happen back to you.  Do good things to people and good things generally come back.

I enjoyed it a lot.  I feel its more a book for boys but girls might enjoy it too. It is definitely a book for people aged 12 16 years.  This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I think I would enjoy other books written by him.

Eric aged 12, Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
